mhous33can anyone help with this hal compilation error?11:08
mhous33Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.bouncycastle.asn1.ASN1Object11:08
mhous33in the faq it says to use dumpkey.jar, but it doesn't exist in my working directory11:08
mhous33also, that is for a different bouncycastle related error11:09
drFaustrollGuest16673: that sounds terrible close to nexus 511:09
mhous33the hybris boot and recovery still build, but when i flash the zip over cm, it just hangs on boot logo11:10
mhous33i wiped data and cache and also decrypted the data partition11:10
rinigusballock: while rereading the older logcats I noticed that eps0.6+cm12.1 leads to the call of ACodec (there are warnings from it). there were no warning messages or any other messages on nexus 5 and logs provided by Nokius11:11
rinigus^ from ACodec.11:11
rinigusballock: as far as I understand, ACodec and OMXCodec are different approaches to the same OMX components (as long as I can trust google's results on it). What is SFOS supposed to use? ACodec or OMXCodec? I presume the buffering is done in gstreamer, so ACodec is not necessary? Maybe people knowing these components could fill in ...11:14
rinigusmhous33: I had the same error when compiling CM12.1 (bouncycastle). In the end, I used a regular Linux installation (not HADK ubuntu) and then was able to build full CM. Don't get during hybris compile (I presume its not build there)11:16
mhous33rinigus: if i make hybris-boot and hybris-recovery individually, it doesn't throw any errors11:18
mhous33but aren't there other pieces made by hybris-hal that are needed?11:18
rinigusmhous33: ok, so you get it during hybris-hal?11:19
mhous33rinigus: yes, but not during individual boot/recovery builds11:19
rinigusmhous33: OK, that I don't get. it builds fine for me (make -j4 hybris-hal)11:20

ballockrinigus: and the line above gets stuck in the first instance, while in the second instance it gets past through 199 and freezes on 200.16:11
ballockrinigus: but it might be as well that the message is only printed after the second object gets called which does not get there. (timing issue), but it looks less likely.16:12

rinigusballock: unfortunately, I cannot test with hybris12.1 yet. I'll work on getting my image builds working, just didn't get enough time to do it. so, I'll try to do my best with hacking CM and let's see if it helps16:53
rinigusballock: I didn't see any extra or different code for libstagefright in droidmedia. However, if some hybriss version exists, is it different from CM? Since I don't see any code, I expect that libstagefright can be just symlinked to /system/lib/libstagefright libs16:54
rinigus... if its wrong, please tell16:54
rinigusballock: condition I was referring to is sRemoteList == NULL at https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/av/+/android-5.1.1_r38/media/libstagefright/MediaCodecList.cpp#7616:57
ballockrinigus: I didn't find any hybris-speciific commit in frameworks/av, so it should be safe to symlink /system/...16:59
rinigusballock: in my test, in SFOS, this condition is true, then code enters https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/av/+/android-5.1.1_r38/media/libstagefright/MediaCodecList.cpp#82 , and, after a bit (without leaving getInstance) enters getInstance again.16:59
rinigusballock: so, as a result, mutex is tried to be locked second time from the function that's called recursively?17:00
ballockrinigus: yeah, don't you think these are 2 object instances entering it?17:00
rinigusballock: could be, but the mutex is static on the top of the file :(.17:01
rinigusballock: and it looks to me that the first caller is still waiting for the second (either the same or another) to finish17:01
TheRealJohnGalt[http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1511550 :)17:02
rinigusballock: in CM, all calls to getInstance never went to these lines, always finished without entering if()17:02
rinigusballock: ... let me recheck it regarding CM ...17:02
ballockrinigus: woo! ok...17:03
rinigusballock: btw, for some reason in paste https://ptpb.pw/ZnwW/cpp lines are 1 off (add one line to get corresponding record in log). still checking.17:05

*** CrKit <CrKit!~nekit@85-95-186-176.saransk.ru> has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection)17:06
ballockrinigus: perhaps cm runs getInstance on boot/somewhere else in the code and keeps it open, while sfos does that only on codec access attempt?17:06
rinigusballock: yep, checked, nothing in the log for playback on lines after initial mutex lock => goes immediately to return17:08
rinigusballock: let me see if I can get something from boot log17:08
rinigusballock: [probably your conclusion is right]17:09
rinigusballock: nope, I don't see any lines from that call where it would be NULL. So, in CM, its always non NULL when this function is called. let's see if its even possible or something is missing my catlog17:11
